Trivial Pursuit has been a family favorite board game for over 15 years and in that time we have seen many editions, the latest Trivial Pursuit edition for 2009 looks to be the most social trivia game ever with Trivial Pursuit Team!
Trivial Pursuit Team Edition is played in four rounds, with six questions in each round.
There's no need to collect wedges for each category, just be the team ahead at the end of the game.
Teams can earn anywhere from 1 to 6 points for each question, depending on how they answer.
At the beginning of each game, players select a fresh deck from among the 12 individually wrapped decks included in the game.
The new format of the game encourages group discussion and allows players to discover what they know and how they know it.
Instead of the traditional right or wrong questions found in previous versions of Trivial Pursuit, in Trivial Pursuit Team players will now have the opportunity to answer six different types of questions, including the following: multiple choice, name six, go for broke, reference, more or less, and "are you the expert?". But, more importantly, for the first time ever you can earn partial credit for answering the question mostly right...or answering correctly on the second (or third) try.

Multiple Choice: You get 4 possible answers and 3 guesses. The sooner you guess, the more you score!
Name Six: You get 6 guesses to list 6 correct answers. Score 1 point each time you’re right!
More or Less: Choose an easy or a hard question. Can you answer the hard one for twice the points?
Reference Point: You get one statement that ties 3 questions together. Score 2 points for each correct guess!
Are You the Expert?: Answer as a team for 3 points. Or pick an “expert” and go for 6 points!
Go for Broke: Answer a true/ false question for 1 point. Will you go for more and risk losing it all?
