Thundercats are back! Now a whole new generation can enjoy the adventures of Lion-O and the Thundercats as they battle the evil Mumm-Ra.
One of the most iconic vehicles in the Thundercats range is of course the Thundercats Thunder Tank and now you can own your very own thundertank.

So let's take a closer look at the new Thundercats Thunder Tank toy vehicle and we will let you know our thoughts.

Thundercats Thundertank Review

The first thing to say about the new ThunderTank is that it looks really cool! Bandia have done a fantastic job of recreating the look of the animated 2011 Thundercats ThunderTank and it's packed full of detail and flashing lights and sounds.

It should be noted that the Thundercats Thundertank is made for the 4" figure line only!

The Thundercats Thunder Tank comes boxed with a 4" Snarf figure which is really cool as this is the only way to get Snarf. The Snarf Figure also comes with the brand new ThunderLynx technology which allows Snarf to activate the Thundertanks feature of coming to life and saying "ThunderTank activate!".

When you first open the box there is some assembly that is needed, but it's very quick and easy to do. My only minor gripe here is that the thunder tanks roof comes off very easily. Something else to note is that the thundertank does take x2 AAA batteries which are not included.
The sounds of the Thundertank are made by pushing down the top black button which also lights up the eyes with a cool red light.
The ThunderTank comes with 2 mini racing pods which sit either side of the main cockpit of the vehicle and with the press of the button on the back of the thundertank they can be launched and will race across the floor which is a really cool feature. The Thundercats claw also raises.

You can fit one figure in the cockpit of the vehicle and again this activates the ThunderLynx technology and brings the Thundertank to life.


Overall I would say that this is a must-buy for Thundercats fans and makes a great addition to the new 2011 Thundercats toys range. We love the sound and light effects and also the side pods which add an extra play dimension. The only slight negative is the build quality or durability, but if played with care this is a great toy!
