Out of all the new Lego Star Wars sets that have been released the Lego Anakin and Sebulba's Podracers set is one of the most impressive looking sets.
The Lego Star Wars Anakin and Sebulba's Podracers allows you to recreate the epic final lap of the Boonta Eva Classic Podrace that you see in Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace!
This is actually a remake of set 7171 which was released in 1991 and Lego really have done a fantastic job on this set and it's really approved upon.
The first thing you will notice about this Star Wars Lego set is that you get a whooping 5 minifigures and not just any minifigures either...all of the minifigures are brand new in both design and just brand new minifigures.
The Sebulba, Watto are multi coloured for the first time ever and they look amazing. Then we come to Wald who is Anakin's friend and is a lot like Greddo from the original Star Wars movie and this is the first time he has ever been in a Lego Minifigure.
Obi Wan Kenobi is a new design, you get two faces on the head sculpt and he comes with his light blue lightsaber.
Next we come to Sebulba's podracer which is the biggest of the two podracers. The detail on this podracer is fantastic, the engine pieces are fantastic and a great addition to your Lego pieces. Thanks to the clear technic bricks it now looks like the podracer is suspended in the air which really adds to the effect and overall build detail.
Another great feature is the saws that can come out as seen in the movie and try to sabortage the other podracers.
The podracer can be attached to a stand that looks really cool and give a great overall effect, or you can just detach it if you want to hold and play with it.
Moving on we can to Anakin's podracer which is alot smaller than Sebulba's and not quite as impressive. There are some great detail on this set like the electric current bar that attaches the two engines.
This really is a must-buy for any Star Wars fan and it's great to see Lego going back and releasing an Episode 1 set again.
